Moustaches For Everyone

Grandma Carrie got Carson a cowboy set -- complete with hat, spurs, rope, canteen, belt and a variety pack of moustaches.  Carson DID NOT want to put the hat on, but sister Ru jumped right in and began putting moustaches on EVERYONE, and she was wearing the hat.  Although, Ruby WOULD NOT put a moustache on herself, and only agreed to put one on with her mommy in the bathroom with the door shut so no one could take her picture with one on.  But we were all roaring with laughter as she put one on each of us.
Grandma Carrie, I think you hit the jackpot with gifts -- that made all of us laugh out loud!

Now, Grandpa actually looks good with his 'stache' on.

 Aunt Lindsey got a uni-brow.

Gretchen has a Charlie Chaplin look going on........

Ruby was giggling and giggling with Cat.

Love those eyes!!!!

Present Opening Time

I love the smile on Carson's face when he opened one of my gifts to him.  I blew up and framed the picture of him catching that big fish a few weeks ago.  He can look at that picture on his wall and be proud for years to come.

Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Ray got the kids sleeping bags.  For weeks Carson and Ruby have been telling me about going camping in Grandma's back yard.  They were quite thrilled with their very own sleeping bags.  Carson, of course, had to try his out immediately.

Which included getting into the bag.

I just LOVE that little face peeping out.

"Oh Mommy, Mommy.  Mia got me a new pink tu-tu and blue sparkly things for my hair!"
"I LOVE THEM".

These kids love books so much, that they even paused from opening presents so their Daddy could read their new book to them.

There were so many gifts given to them at the party on Saturday (since 37 kids showed up), their parents decided to  only  give part of them to open at the family party on Sunday and save the rest for later.

Enjoying Grandma Carrie's Yard

We had the children's family birthday party at Grandma Carrie's and Grandpa Ray's home, and enjoyed the out-of-doors.  The weather was perfect and the yard stunning.  Lots of room to run and play.  Carson can give anyone a run for their money.  That little guy is FAST.

The flowers in her yard are unbelievably wonderful.  These are but two of them.

Real soon they won't be able to out-run this guy.

Nanny Rach Comes Too!

Rachael became Nanny Rach when the twins were 5 months old and continued till they were 3 1/2.    At age 5, they still adore her and the feelings are very mutual.

Ruby must have been feeling like a dentist with this next move.....
Or maybe thought  there was another present inside....

Remember when holding both of them at the same time was easy???  Not any more.
I think these two will always refer to her as "Nanny Rach".
Thanks for coming all the way down for their birthday -- as if you had a choice.  Carson hasn't forgotten for one minute that she missed their 4th birthday (like she could really miss her brother's college graduation  that just happened to be the same day!)
