Can't Not Write About This.......

Ruby has really gotten into wanting to wear dresses -- all the time.  This morning she tried to make sure she only wore dresses.  She took all her pants out of the drawers and was hiding them.  Carson came running downstairs to squeal on her. . . .  "Ruby is hiding her pants!"  Ruby was a cross between feeling really bad for doing something she knew she shouldn't have been doing, and really upset at Carson for telling on her -- and she came downstairs in tears.  Such a girlie-girl.

Last Day of Indoor Soccer

Today was their last day of indoor soccer, till Sept.  They have so much fun, especially Carson, who is really into it.  I think that little guy will be all into group sports.  He seems to thrive on the camaraderie with other little dudes.  Ruby was enjoying having Iris in class with her.  All the kids receive medals and a Popsicle -- what could be better.

Casey's Birthday

June is the month of celebrations -- first with the twins birthdays.  Then Father's Day.  And finally Casey's birthday.  3 out of the 5 weekends in June we gathered as a family to celebrate something.
Here Ruby and Carson are helping Daddy open his gifts.  For some reason, Ruby was in rare form....  I guess it comes with being 5, because she has hit the age of the sillies!!!

Here is the blog site of Posy Quarterman -- the wonderful photographer who took their 5 year old photos.  She also did their 3 year photos.  The location was Cathedral Park (under the St. John's Bridge).  It was a lovely day.  I was invited and was in a few shots.  Posy posted a "sneak preview" because she knew how eager we were to see them.  There will be more to come, and I'll probably be able to post some myself.  Since I was there, I took a few shots of my own.  The location presented so many different options for backgrounds and colors.

Father's Day At The Jones'

The children were so thrilled to give their Daddy the cards they made.  Carson's cards always come with a story, to which he is telling his Dad.

Ruby climbed right up on her Grandpa Ray's lap and helped him with his cards and gifts.

This singing card got us all laughing, and really tickled Ruby.

Time for some good old "mud-soup"!

STOMP ROCKET TIME!
Ruby stomped and Carson tried to keep up with his Daddy at catching them.

Random Fun

At their preschool, birthdays are very special.  Each child is given a cape that their friends have decorated and written messages of love to them.  Being twins makes it doubly fun for them and for the other children.
It's GREAT to be 5!

Kristin sent me these pictures of Ruby and gave them the caption
"MY GIRL!"

Do you remember your first puff paint t-shirt?  So fun to create your very own.  The kids got to experience this with Aunt Lindsey.
Great job guys!

The Party Weekend Is Over

Kristin took this photo as I was pulling away with Gretchen and Cat in the car, on our way to the airport.  What a fantastic weekend with friends and family to celebrate the twin's 5th birthday.  Lots of memories were made over the 3 days, and we have much to be thankful for -- good friends, family and healthy children.
To view all of the birthday pictures, you will need to go down at least two pages (older posts) because I posted so many.  Go down till you come to 6-6-13 ****  their actual 5th birthday.

Carson-hood

In the afternoon while we were all still at Grandma Carrie's house, Carson showed us what he has been learning.  I (and the other adults) were shocked at how well this little 5 year old can handle a bow and arrow.  His Daddy has been working with him.  I was so impressed with his abilities,  form and strength.  All he needs now is a green hat and a band of merry men!

The cheering section!  She sure loves her Grandpa Ray.

Love those little fingers after he released the arrow.

AMAZING FORM!

He hit the target numerous times.  In the middle of the target is a bee -- to which he got!

Even little Sis is trying her hand at the bow.
