These were taken in their backyard one sunny day. I love how casual and fun they are.

Nanny Rach In Europe

Rachael (aka Nanny Rach) is currently in Austria at a Calvary Chapel training/retreat center for 3 months. I'm so proud of her for following her dream and seeking the Lord's will for her life. Rachael is growing so much in her faith and as a person as she studies and serves others. Here is her blog site http://rachaelstriptoeurope.blogspot.com/
Last time I was down at Kristin's house Carson asked me why I was sleeping in Nanny Rach's room -- and when is she coming back!!! I KNOW she misses them so much, and the feelings are mutual for the little kiddos.

Halloween is Coming

Kristin just emailed this to me. I think someone is wanting to be a princess for Halloween. Recently, I have used the princess-card with Ruby -- when I want her to do something that she doesn't want to do, I say "That's how a Princess does it!", and she will suddenly be interested in doing it that way. Ahh, if it were that easy for the next 15 years........
P.S. This costume actually got returned to the store. Casey wasn't too thrilled with his little girl looking like she was going to be on "Toddlers and Tiaras". I rather agree! ! !

Kruger Farm, Sauvie Island

With Grandma Carrie still out of town, Grandpa Ray volunteered to help me with the children on Saturday. We went to the pumpkin patch on Sauvie Island and had such a great time. I couldn't have done it alone and I was so grateful to him for his Grandfatherly love and assistance.
Ray took a picture with his cell and was sending to to Kristin and Casey in Napa and to Carrie and Lindsey in Ashland. Everyone knew we were having fun!
That really big pumpkin isn't ours, but Carson was the one who put all that hay on it!
This Daddy had found a tiny green frog that he was showing his little son in the orange shirt, and Carson got right in there to get a peek.
Carson was looking for just the right SMALL pumpkin to take home. I guess I'm glad he didn't pick the biggest for me to carry!
Ruby picked out this big one back at the farm from the big bins of pumpkins.
I love the tall flower gardens. Ruby was having fun, but since Carson got stung by a yellow jacket earlier this summer, he wasn't real happy about being around the flowers that had lots of flying stinging things........
It had rained for days before Saturday and then thereafter, so we were happy to have such a beautiful day to go to the farm.
That's a really big sprinkler, Grandma!
Come on little Ru. Catch up with us.......
There are lots of free roaming chickens and roosters on the farm that the kids wanted to follow after.
Don't forget the pig pens!
Munching on PUMPKINS, of course!

Petsmart Fun

One day on the way home from school I decided to take them by the local Petsmart for a "field trip". They LOVED it. Who wouldn't???? In the picture above Ruby noticed a fish with "fish lips" and she imitated it. Wish I had captured that in a photo because it was so cute. I noticed the sign on the aquarium -- FIRE BELLY TOADS. That explains the red under belly and palms of their hands (or paws, or whatever they are called on frogs!)
Triplet black kitties.
So many colorful birds.
Ruby particularly liked the Guinea pigs. I love the way she has her hand on her brother's back.
