Boy Time

Move over Sonny!
This little man wants to share your bed.
"Grammy! Who said Ruby could be in this photo
time with my Mom?"
(click on the photo below and look at Carson's expression)

No Light In His Eyes

Shhhhh..... Yes, there is a little man under that blankie.
Kristin went in to check on him and this is how
he was sleeping. After Carson learned to turn the light
switch on, we found him several times with
the light on and his face covered. Of course
he doesn't want that old light in his eyes!
Silly boy.

Sun Bonnet Girl

(This photo came via cell phone, hence it is small!) When Kristin was 15 months old my mother came to visit us in Massachusetts. Mom bought this little bonnet for Kristin and she looked so darling in it. Well, Ruby LOVES it and wants to wear it all the time. I think she was meant to be
"Ruby Ingalls of Little House on the Prairie".

A Warm July Afternoon At G.Ma Carrie's & G.Pa Ray's

Kristin and Casey took these photos today at Ray and Carrie's house. They have a wonderful backyard, complete with a fun fountain, lots of grass, flowers, and a HUGE veggie garden. I'm guessing Ruby is in more photos than Carson, because he is so fast, curious and movin'!
Carson loves to point at things to see or places he wants to go!
This is only a small portion of her veggie and berry garden.
Since ENVY is a sin, I need to do some confessing!

Cutting Teeth is Not FUN! Especially Molars

This was one of those hard days with the twins. They were having
a fuss, so Kristin took them for a walk to
the near-by park, thinking it would help. I don't think they were happy!
(Thank goodness the sound is turned off!)

One Year Old Professional Photo Proofs

Go to this site and in August you will see "We Two Are One".
These are the professional photos taken at the park. Kristin was sure that Lisa didn't get one good shot because of how active and busy the twins were being. Well, Lisa is an expert, and especially with multiples. The photos are amazing!
"Thank you Lisa for another great photo session. Quite a change from the photos you took at 6 weeks."

Turn Your Light On

Keep watching -- Carson figured out how to turn the light on and off in his room. Kristin thought that Casey had left the light on after putting Carson down one night. But then the next morning, they saw the light going on and off. The funny thing is he will turn on the light after we put him to bed, but then cover his head with the blanket to keep the light out of his eyes. (Yes, they realize they need to move the crib -- this is the temporary fix because they needed to move him out of the nursery since they were disturbing each other's sleep. They plan on redecorating the TV room, into Carson's room, which will include moving out all the furniture that no longer needs to be in there).

Hi!

Ruby has been saying "Hi" for several months. She particularly says it when one of us have our cell phone out. But I have also seen her pick up a toy shovel and put it to her ear and said "hi". Here she is enjoying my cell phone, and got so excited she did the "Hi-Hi" dance. (Listen to her brief frustration at herself after she drops the phone the second time.)

Just today while she was sitting in her chair having breakfast, she said "Hi Da-Da" when Casey came into the room! 13 months and putting two words together. I LOVE IT!

Vintage Sub-4 Split Shorts

These Sub-4 split shorts were a gift to us for Kristin 30 years ago from a friend that we attended college with who worked for Sub-4. I always thought they were so cute and saved them for her child to wear one day. The red and white tank top with elephants was also Kristin's. It is so fun to see little Ruby wearing something that Kristin wore, and looking like a spit-image of her mother! (I teared up when I put this outfit on Rubes!)

New Hiding Spot ----

When the twins kept getting under the end tables and having such fun, Kristin and Casey knew they wanted to get them something safe and more fun to play in. They found this cute igloo at Ikea and it has been a big hit. They will go in the igloo with a book, or toy and play. Carson has mastered walking in and out quickly by ducking his head. Ruby hasn't quite figured that out, yet!
